1000s of advertising images added

The Archive now includes over 1,000 advertising images found in football programmes from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. Over 30 venues are represented and ‘Regional Adverts’ can be found by selecting this category along with a given venue. The content represents local businesses and services which frequently advertised in football programmes during this period, including forgotten restaurants, shops and public houses. National Adverts found in programmes can also be accessed by searching for ‘National Adverts’, which will display the prominent adverts and slogans for companies trading across the country and globally during theses decades.  It is also possible to keyword search for particular brands and companies which advertised in football programmes during this time.
